1952 ford 8n tractor starter-The Ford 8N tractor was a technological icon in the 1940s when it was manufactured It spelled reliability and independence for the small farmers of America When restoring these old tractors, the starter is one of the parts that deserves ample attention Removing it for refurbishing or replacement is an easy task 1952 Ford 8N tractor (12 volt conversion, side distributor) I am having problems getting the tractor started The battery is at 124 volts The coil is not sending spark to the distributor I am getting 117 volts to the ignition side of the coil and I am getting 03 volts on the distributor side of the coil (when points are closed)
